ALBANESE NEEDS TO CLEAN UP HIS STRIKE ACTION MESS
The Albanese Government’s disastrous workplace relations changes are seeing damaging Christmas strike action play out in multiple sectors across Australia.
During Albanese’s cost of living crisis, the last thing Australians need is supermarket shortages and disruption to public services.
Shadow Minister for Workplace Relations, Senator Michaelia Cash, said Australians were paying the price for Anthony Albanese giving unchecked power in Australian workplaces to his union donors.
“We are seeing chaos on building sites across Australia, bare shelves at a number of Woolworths sites across Victoria, rail services being threatened in Sydney on a daily basis and now a likely shortage of electricians in regional NSW all because of industrial action from Mr Albanese’s union mates,” Senator Cash said.
“Mr Albanese’s changes to the Fair Work Act have enabled and encouraged conflict and strike action in Australian workplaces, and we are now seeing the disastrous results.” she said.
Senator Cash said it was particularly concerning that Mr Albanese was refusing to lift a finger to end any of the industrial action taking place.
“Mr Albanese could call his union mates and end all these strikes tomorrow if he wanted to. But he’s just too weak and gutless to do so.” Senator Cash said.
“Mr Albanese created a workplace relations system which encourages strike action to increase the power and influence of his union mates.”
“Unfortunately, the Australian public is now paying the price. This is the last thing we need on top of Albo’s cost of living crisis.” Senator Cash said.
