MORE PROOF ALBANESE JOBS SUMMIT WILL BE UNION TALKFEST

There was further proof today that the Albanese Government jobs summit will be nothing more than a talkfest aimed at handing more power to their union paymasters.

Talking in Sydney Mr Albanese continued to lower expectations of any immediate outcomes from the summit saying that it would provide “policy parameters” and a focus on jobs and skills.

“While businesses are crying out for more workers Mr Albanese is focused on a jobs summit instead of trying to put practical solutions in place to solve this crisis,’ Senator Cash said.

“By his own admission nothing will be solved after the two-day talkfest.

“If Mr Albanese really wanted to start to solve this issue he would immediately adopt the Coalition’s excellent policy that would allow veterans and pensioners to work more without losing their pension,’’ Senator Cash said.

“This is something that can be done today – businesses shouldn’t have to wait for a summit or for the Budget in October.

“The same goes for getting the migration settings right so that more skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled workers are encouraged to come to Australia immediately.”

“The problem is we know that their union paymasters will be dominating this summit and making outrageous demands.

“It already started last week with the ACTU’s demand that migrant workers be given a compulsory union induction when they arrive in Australia.

“The Albanese Government still hasn’t ruled out this outrageous demand. We know from their actions so far that they will do anything to appease their union paymasters.”
